In India, ReMarkable 2 has been released. This digital e-ink tablet functions similarly to a standard notebook. Users can feel it like conventional notepad paper. As promised by its tagline, "the paper tablet," it is small and lightweight. It can be used by users to read, take notes, and evaluate documents. Together with useful add-ons like a stylus and a Type Folio tactile keyboard, the company sells it. Later this month, the Remarkable 2 will be sold throughout the nation and has already been priced.
Remarkable 2 cost and accessibility in India
The tablet and Marker Plus pen for the ReMarkable 2 cost Rs. 43,999 in India. The company is also offering a complimentary one-year Connect trial at this pricing. With the Connect membership, customers may enjoy unlimited cloud storage with sync, extra device protection for up to three years, and access to exclusive deals. Users with the subscription can additionally access and utilise the desktop and mobile ReMarkable applications.
The tablet will go on sale on January 19, 11 pm IST, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon for Rs. 1,000. Remarkably, the ReMarkable 2 is also available in a different package with a Type Folio and a price tag of Rs. 53,799, respectively. Both the Marker Plus stylus and the Type Folio keyboard cover are available for separate purchase for Rs. 13,599 and Rs. 19,499, respectively.
Remarkable 2 features and specifications
The 10.3-inch monochrome digital paper display on the ReMarkable 2 tablet has a resolution of 1,872 × 1,404 pixels. The tablet has a multi-point capacitive touch screen and is said to be powered in part by E-Ink Carta technology. It has an 8GB onboard storage unit, 1GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM, and a 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM CPU. Its OS is based on Linux. The tablet and ReMarkable apps for MacOS, Windows 10, iOS, and Android are said to be able to sync files and notes.
The ReMarkable 2 has an accessory port in addition to USB Type-C and Wi-Fi connectivity options. A 3,000mAh battery powers the tablet. Both PDF and ePUB documents are supported. The keyboard supports seventeen different languages, even if the menu is only available in English. Meanwhile, 33 languages—but only those with Latin script—are supported by the MyScript-powered handwriting conversion tool.
In order to make the tablet usable for left-handed individuals, the ReMarkable 2 also has a left-handed mode. It also allows users to alternate between left- and right-handed modes. Finally, there is no need for setup, pairing, or charging in order to use the Marker Plus stylus. When needed, replaceable marker tips are available for separate purchase.
